Scope of the Conference

2008 is the Diamond Jubilee of the National Health Service in the United Kingdom. Some aspects of orthopaedic and trauma nursing will have changed dramatically since 1948 but others continue today. The theme of Conference 2008 is therefore ‘Diamonds’, famed for their durability and their brilliance. We want to celebrate enduring practices and individuals, and hear about shining new lights and services.

RCN SOTN 2008 is comprised of keynote presentations, plenary sessions, concurrent oral presentations and a poster session supported by an exhibition. Delegates are encouraged to participate in the discussions that will undoubtedly take place after each presentation. It is an opportunity for learning and sharing research and best practice in orthopaedic nursing and a number of workshops will also be included to enhance delegate participation.
